A nationally-certified quilt judge (NQA) for the past eight years, I've judged many, many competitions across the country and overseas ranging from small county fairs in Colorado to regional and national shows having hundreds of quilt entries in the US and overseas (See Below). Sometimes I've judged solo and sometimes as a member of a team; and I've judged traditional quilting of all kinds to the more innovative art quilts becoming more in vogue these days -- my specialty is, after all, really a form of art quilting.

Judging engagements at shows vary widely: i.e. by the number of quilts, the type of quilts, the time alloted, whether there is one judge or a team doing the task, and whether the show sponsor desires teaching or lecturing services in addition to the judging.
