A presentation addressing the evaluation of art quilts, a                                                                                                                genre growing in popularity in which emotional impact plays                                                                                                              as important a role  in evaluation as does design and                                                                                                             workmanship .

                                                                                                         The subject is presented first by defining an evaluation frame-                                                                                                       work and then by example with student participation. At the end of                                                                                                     the presentation, students should have an appreciation for the                                                                                                   genre as well as a basis for critically examining various examples.
